Dimitra Petmeza is a writer/director from Athens, Greece. She has studied at the Hellenic Film and Television School Stavrakos and continues her film studies at the Hellenic Open University.  

Her Video Art, “Salome” (2019), received the Best Experimental Film Award at the Four River Film Festival in Karlovac,Croatia.

Her first film, “Air-Condition” (2023), premiered at the 54th Tampere Film Festival.

Her second film "The Quiet Weight of Things" (2025), will premiere at the 48th Drama international Film Festival.

In addition to directing, she has worked as a cinematographer and 1st assistant camera on various short and feature films. 

She has been selected to participate in various film labs and workshops, 

such as  Sarajevo Talents 2026, Nouvelle Bug 2026 and TalentBridge Cyprus 2026.

Her next short film Twin Cherries, was selected at DISFF Pitching Lab 2026, Sarajevo Talents Script Station 2026 and Linz Short Film Lab 2025.
